pink champagne cocktails

Happy National Champagne Day! It’s like my birthday – but BETTER! My drink of choice today will be a mixture of champagne and Red Bull – Sugar Free Red Bull, that is. Most of my friends laugh at this recipe, but as a college student (eh, 4 years ago, that is), you mix together whatever you have available. The drink has stuck around as one of my favorites.

In celebration of National Champagne Day, I bring you 20 champagne recipes:

  • Kir Royale: Katie Lee Joel loves it, as do tourists in Paris, as do I. Crème de Cassis and Champagne. Sweet and simple.
  • Five Star Alliance: God, I love this drink. Jasmin syrup, Mirabelle spirit, peach juice, champagne rose. Go to Paris to drink this champagne cocktail, along with the Kir Royale. Just go to Paris if you want a fancy champagne drink.
  • Champagne Punch: Fruit juice and champagne. It’s like the adult version of Jungle Juice (ah, college)
  • Strawberry Champagne: This stuff just deserves its own mention. Best stuff ever, haven’t found it since my last trip to Canada.
  • Pina Colada Champagne: Another concoction I came up with when Champagne was in the fridge and not much else. Mix Champagne with Dole Pina Colada Ready Made Juice. Like a Mimosa but better…
  • Black Velvet: Not my favorite, but it does have champagne…and Guinness.
  • French Martini: Chambord, Vodka, Pineapple Juice. Rinse. Repeat.
  • Flirtini: Sex and the City made it famous, I made it yesterday. A little bit of everything you’d find in a cosmo, top off with champagne.
  • Mimosa: From the Fine Living Network, triple sec, orange juice, and champagne combine together to create the Mimosa
  • Bellini: From The Food Network, Giada De Laurentiis gives you the recipes to amaze your friends with an awesome Bellini Bar, including a recipe for a Blueberry Bellini, Strawberry Bellini, and Raspberry Bellini
  • Red Bull & Champagne: My favorite champagne concoction. Pour champagne in glass. Top off with Red Bull. Stay up the rest of the night.
  • Champagne Freeze: Rachael Ray gives you her recipe for a “Champagne, Darling? Freezes” champagne cocktail
  • SMAC Me Gorgeous: Combine pomegranate juice and champagne. Sip. Enjoy.
  • Green Tea Champagne: Rachael Ray, again, gives you her recipe for a refreshing summer cocktail, the Green Tea Champagne concoction. Yum-Oh!
  • Sorbet Champagne: Uh, Emeril’s version of the Champagne Sorbet/Sorbet Champagne is a little bit complicated if you’re not a fan of sitting around waiting for ice cream to freeze (side tracked…favorite quote ever – “Do you think we might die if we don’t get ice cream NOW?” from a text message). So, eh, basically, get champagne and drop in sorbet. Let melt. Drink. Dessert and champagne in one – a perfect meal!
  • Caribbean Blue Champagne: Blue Curacao, Hypnotiq, and Champagne mix together to create the Caribbean Blue Champagne Cocktail
  • Very Sexy Cocktail: Fine Living Network combines Vodka, Cassis, Champagne and wild berries for a Very Sexy Cocktail
  • Emerald Gem Champagne Cocktail: No need to wait for St. Patrick’s Day, or be Irish, to enjoy the Emerald Gem Champagne Cocktail. Green and delicious, just combine champagne and green crème de menthe for a new Irish twist on a champagne cocktail.
  • Champagne Cosmo: An updated version of the famous girly drink, the Cosmopolitan. Cointreau, Cranberry juice, champagne…yum.
  • Girlie Martini: A girlie martini? Sweet, dude. Dry vermouth, vodka, champagne, and maraschino liqueur make up the Girlie Martini
