The Margarita: a beloved lime libation that has enhanced our lives and happy hours since the 1930′s.  So iconic is this salt-rimmed drink, it deserved its own day of celebration on February 22ndNational Margarita Day. To celebrate National Margarita Day this year, Tomas Delos Reyes (mixologist at New York’s Standard Hotel) has given his own twist to the Margari

Mad Mango Margarita (created by Tomas Delos Reyes)

Mad Mango Margarita

Mad Mango Margarita

2oz Partida Reposado

1/2oz agave nectar

3/4oz fresh lime juice

1/2oz mango puree

2 jalapeno disc/slices

In shaker, muddle 1 jalapeño disc with agave nectar.  Add ingredients into shaker and shake over ice.  Strain over ice, garnish with jalapeño disc floating on top.

Fresa Breeze Margarita

2oz Partida Blanco Tequila

1/2oz agave nectar

3/4oz fresh lime juice

2 strawberries

2 tsp diced cucumber

Mint sprig (optional)

Muddle strawberries and agave nectar in a shaker.  Add ingredients and shake over ice.  Strain over ice and top with diced cucumber.  Garnish with mint sprig (optional).
