Strawberry Wine, Gold Wine, Rhubarb Wine and Cherry Wine!

So – I’ve been traveling the past few days, hence the lack of posts. I was in Michigan visiting family for a few days, then we headed over to Windsor, Canada to watch a fireworks show and visit the new Caesars Windsor Casino. Good times had by all, but better yet, I had the opportunity to *test* some very exciting wines!

Cherry Wine

Back in Michigan, they actually have wineries that produce a cherry wine. Don’t ask me about logistics, because honestly, I would probably just make something up. I of course bought some Traverse City Cherry Wine, Spiced Cherry Wine, to be exact. Haven’t opened it yet, but in the past, I have loved the taste of Cherry Wine – delicious!

Gold Wine

Next, I purchased Gold Wine. Yes, my friends, this wine has 24k gold chips floating inside of it. It’s your typical white wine blend, but so exciting inside of a cool wine glass. Not a bad price, either; I purchased the Gold Wine for $32. Definitely a drink to try the next time you host a party or just want to feel fabulous. I have tried Gold Wine once before this, at a friend’s party, but I have only seen Gold Wine one other time in the store. If you do happen to run across Gold Wine, I highly suggest that you purchase it.

Strawberry Champagne/Strawberry Wine

The third wasn’t really a wine, but more of a champagne, Strawberry Champagne, although in Canada, they called it Strawberry Wine. Not like the Pink Asti you see in the supermarket, either. No friend, this stuff was wicked tasty! The Strawberry Wine had a very subtle strawberry taste and was very light and crisp. Strawberry Wine is best served chilled and can be enjoyed with an accompaniment of fruits – strawberries, of course!

Rhubarb Wine

Finally, the fourth wine, my favorite of the bunch, was a Rhubarb wine. We picked this up on our trip up north to Frankenmuth, Michigan. Let me just say that Rhubarb Wine will now be a staple in my home (or condo. Whatever, I think big). I believe that Rhubarb Wine is actually produced in Oregon; this was the first time I’ve ever seen Rhubarb Wine in a store.

Here’s some links to all of the tasty treats I tried on my trip:

Enjoy!
