Not your typical bar drink, the Bloody Mary is still a fairly girly drink – although it’s not one that will make men blush to order. The Bloody Mary is the drink my mom orders at dinner, my boyfriend orders when he has a hangover, and I order when I want something spicy and not too strong tasting. You can make this drink as spicy, or un-spicy as you want. Common garnishes include celery, pickles, hot peppers and spices.

This Bloody Mary recipe was featured in Runner’s World as a drink to celebrate with. Why? The Bloody Mary only has 120 calories and also includes 37% of your Daily Value for Vitamin C. The Bloody Mary also contains lycopene and potassium, antioxidants that help protect muscles from damage. No worries if you aren’t a runner – The Bloody Mary is a great drink to enjoy anytime of the day.
