- Wine is Racing Past Spirits in Hard Times: Interesting fact – America is on track to becoming the biggest consumer of wines, bypassing Spain, Italy, even France. Not sure if my $2 buck chuck purchases from Trader Joe’s are included in that analysis.
- It’s all about Vegas: Just for fun – an appreciation of cocktail waitresses throughout the years.
- Classy Cocktails: From the chocolate russion mojito to the attorneytini (hmm?), these classy luxe martinis are sure to please.
- Girls Night Out: From TheBar.com, over 166 drinks for a Girls Night Out, from the Godiva Truffletini to the T’Irish-misu
- Summer Cocktails from iVillage: Try out a Frozen Papaya Rum Cocktail or a Peachtree Punch this summer while you’re relaxing by the pool.
- This Food That Wine: While I don’t live in Canada, my awesome cable package lines up a fleet of Canadian programs. One show that I record frequently, “This Food That Wine,” helps party hosts to come up with a delicious menu while pairing wines with each course. Learn which cheese to pair with which wine at your next housewarming party or which wine to pair with a cake at the next birthday party you throw.
- From A through…T: They haven’t made it through the whole alphabet yet (I’m sure there’s a drink that starts with X, Y, or Z…if not, I’m sure there will be soon), but if you’re interested in drinking your way through the alphabet, start at Cocktail Fun.
- Infused Cocktails – the homemade way: Ever have a craving for mint infused rum for your mojito or a peach infused vodka to make a frozen concoction? Check out the Washington Times for tips and recipes that allow you to make your own infused liquors at home.
- Great Cocktails: A sign I watch too much TV, but another great show is “Great Cocktails” on the Fine Living Network. Stephen Phillips, a Mixologist, breaks down the ways to make those fancy looking cocktails you’re served at bars as well as giving tips on how to make fast, simple, and great tasting cocktails in less than 5 minutes.
- No Worries: Wish that you were in the Caribbean, sipping a fruity drink with an umbrella in it and peaking through your sunglasses at Raul? Don’t we all. If a Caribbean vacation isn’t in your near future, at least a Caribbean cocktail can be. To start out, make the Monkey Passion, and finish off with the pineapple infused Painkiller.
