This post is part of the “Summer of Margaritas” series.
As part of my Summer of Margaritas mission to try as many different types of margaritas as possible, I stumbled upon the Desert Pear Margarita at Longhorn Steakhouse. They serve this cocktail in a shaker tableside, and it makes at least two glasses.
The drink is fruity but smooth and a perfect summer cocktail.
Desert Pear Margarita Recipe:
- 1.5 oz. Sauza Tres Generaciones Silver 100% Blue Agave Tequila
- 1/2 oz. Cointreau
- 1 oz. Desert Pear Monin
- 6 oz. RARE Sweet & Sour (or smooth sweet and sour mix)*
Mix all ingredients in shaker filled with ice; strain into chilled margarita glass.
*You can make your own sweet and sour mix by combining 1/2 part lime, 1/2 part lemon, and 1 part simple syrup (2 parts sugar to 1 part water)
