Tales of the Cocktail

Father’s Day is approaching quickly, and while Dad may not appreciate girly drinks, you can bet that he won’t turn down a bacon cocktail.

Start off Father’s Day right with a Bacon cocktail made with Bakon vodka, a potato vodka that has the essence of a “crisp slice of peppered bacon.” I had the opportunity to try Bakon Vodka at Tales of the Cocktail last year and was quite impressed — the taste isn’t overpowering but isn’t underwhelming, either; you can definitely taste and smell the bacon.

• One whole egg
• 1 ½ oz Bakon Vodka
• 1 oz Irish cream
• ½ oz Maple syrup

Shake vigorously and pour into a flip glass (or wine glass). Grate Fresh
nutmeg on top.



Bakon Bloody Mary

• 1½ oz. Bakon Vodka in a pint glass filled with ice.
• Fill glass with tomato juice
• 1 dash each of celery salt and ground black pepper
• 2-4 dashes each of Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco
• 1/8 tsp. horseradish

• 1 part Bakon Vodka
• 1 part chocolate liqueur
• A splash of cream

Combine in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice. Strain and pour into a sugar-rimmed martini glass.
