Thanks for visiting Girly-Drinks.com! I’m Rachel, also known as @GirlyDrinks on twitter.

Girly Drinks was started one night after I realized that my cocktail ordering skills were sub par and that I was ordering the same thing over and over. Not the worst conundrum someone could have, but that’s really how the site concept began: I was looking for new drinks to try.

I was never a bartender in college and my mixologist skills aren’t great enough to win any awards, but that’s what makes girly-drinks.com unique - I’m learning as I go. Since starting this site, I’ve quit my full-time SEO/PPC job with an agency and now write full-time and travel. In 2009, I plan on attending as many cocktail events as possible and expanding my cocktail knowledge. I’m currently filling in the blank spots on my cocktail calendar, but you can definitely find me at Tales of the Cocktail in July.
